About
About Me Briefly: I’d rather go to prison then go to war. I love the smell of Coppertone, campfires, coffee, and rain. I’ll choose acoustic over electric any day. I think that I was born a couple of decades too late because everything sounds better on vinyl to me. I can’t imagine life without song. I love the way the sun shines in autumn. I adore passion flowers and poppies. Thunderstorms, windy days, leaves rustling, and little kid voices make me smile. Soccer will always be a part of my life. I treasure my friends. My biggest fear is ending up alone. I can’t stand the feeling of wet grass on my feet. I feel sad when I accidentally step on a snail or kill a spider. I want to travel everywhere. I’m amazed at the beauty of the natural world and sickened by the careless abuse inflicted upon it. I think I could camp forever in good company. If I had the choice between the ability to fly or the ability to live underwater, I could never pick one. I love all shades of green, gingerbread men, crossword puzzles, manatees, and orange nail polish. Some of my heroes include Albert Einstein, Henry David Thoreau, and my Grandparents. I hate closed minded people. I wish that all humans would value the lives of others as much as they do their own. Most people don’t give life (human and non) the respect it deserves. The universe is so big that it both amazes and scares me... Can you imagine how many stars are actually “suns” to other “earths”? Science is a wonderful thing, yet dangerous in the wrong hands. I do believe that history repeats itself, either because we are too stupid to learn from it or because we are incapable of changing human nature. I plan on doing whatever I can to make the future a better place. Hope needs to be acted upon more often. I love every moment during the transition from feeling shivering cold, to warm and cozy. I love to write, cook, sing, think, decorate, laugh, and love. Imagination, creativity, love, respect, knowledge, understanding, humility, compassion, appreciation, perseverance, preservation, and selflessness are all things this world needs more of.Following

Here Comes the Sun
Money can’t buy you love, happiness, or a governor’s seat :)
…when the rain clouds collided, masking the sun, the absence of shadows silenced their song…
